There are a lot of social news websites being created every now and then. To make sure that the design of these websites are unique and indistinguishable between one and another is important so that the audience do not stumble upon websites that have the same theme.
Recently, a new WordPress theme was created and it is called as JetBox. For once, JetBox is a cheap ($39) theme that actually looks great and seems like worth every nickel and penny spent on it. It looks incredibly attractive for a news site and looks professional as well.
JetBox uses the auto thumbnail feature meaning that the users do not have to use WordPress version 2.9.2 but rather a version 2.8 and above would be sufficient. In addition to that, the host company needs to support both PHP and GD library but not to worry about that though as most if not all web hosting companies have those two covered.
Jetbox also has its own control panel available which makes everything a lot easier to organize. Using this theme doesn’t take much and even a person that is new in WordPress can handle it with ease.

There is nothing better than something that is given out for free. It saves valuable time and money and can be deployed almost instantly. Claudia is another great theme that is given out for free by its designers.
Claudia definitely looks great for a free theme making it comparable to even the premium themes that are available on the Internet. The background is a very soft colored wooden texture that gives it the appeal that it needs.
This theme uses a combination of mostly light color such as a dash of light blue, light gray and a few other light colors. However, all of the texts here are dark colored making it possible to read with ease.
Claudia incorporates the thumbnail feature that was made available on WordPress 2.9. There will be no tweaking needed and everything works just as it should be.
All in all, Claudia is a great theme to have and with some minor tweaking to give it a personal touch, it would be a great theme for a blog.

The thing about WordPress is that installing and removing plugins can be done in less than 5 minutes. This means that new plugins can be tested out easily and without much hassle. New plugins are often fun to play with and some of these are very powerful as well.
Word of the Day – This is nothing more than a plugin which shows the Word of the Day which is taken from Dictionary.com. Word geeks can definitely check this plugin out. Learn new words every day. Words that half of the population do not know of.
AtmaLinks for WordPress – This is apparently an official plugin for AtmaLinks which is a website that is a favorite amongst many affiliate marketers. Atmalinks signs itself with a lot of affiliate networking websites on which the user do not have to go through. If a purchase is made by the visitors, then the user of the Atmalinks will get a share of the cut.
Paypal Donation Widget – Some people are very lazy to check in the donation code from Paypal and integrate it to their website. Well, with this widget, it is made easier. Just key in the Paypal email address and wait for some donators to come by and sponsor.
