WordPress 2.4 for iPhone with Added Support for iPad

Remember that when Steve Jobs said that the iPad will support most current iPhone apps? Apparently it is true and for WordPress for iPhone version 2.4, it fully supports the iPhone, the iPod Touch and of course, the iPad as well.

The previous version of the application would have no problem running on iPad but this particular version takes full advantage of the big screen and what it can do without affecting the iPhone and iPod Touch users.

This is interesting news for WordPress users having the iPad for themselves. They will have no problem integrating their work into the iPad and in fact, due to its bigger screen, it may be a lot easier for them to write and do some work with their iPad instead of the iPhone.

WordPress for iPhone version 2.4 is already available for download at the Apple App Store. So iPhone/iPod Touch users, update your WordPress for iPhone while for new iPad users, get  your hands on this application.

Updates on the WordPress for iPhone – version 2.3.1

WordPress has several mobile versions which are the WordPress for iPhone, Android and the Blackberry. These mobile versions of WordPress are updated regularly, much like the web version of WordPress.

Recently, a new update was released in the Apple’s App Store which is the WordPress version 2.3.1. Its previous version has a few bugs which crashes the application whenever an article is posted without the usage of the geotagging feature available in the application. However, with this new version of WordPress, this problem is now fixed.

Bear in mind that the geotagging feature is still not supported in the web version of WordPress but is already available in the mobile versions. However, the developers behind the publishing system said that there will soon be support for geotagging and uses will most probably see this feature in WordPress 3.0.

In addition to that, there is also some redesigning on the user interface. Users can also check out more posts with the click of the more button without the restriction given at the configuration page.

WordPress for Android – This application is available at the Android market and was released after the WordPress for iPhone application was created. It allows the user to do everything that can be done by the iPhone application and even allows the user to reply and moderate comments as well.

WordPress for BlackBerry – Blackberrys are another revolutionary product by RIM. This application have been available for quite some time and it works perfectly. It is constantly being updated by Automattic and have features much like the other two applications. Blackberry users can simply not ignore this application especially if they have a blog running on WordPress.
